I was privileged to be brought...
I was privileged to be brought up in Christian Science, attending Sunday School from the age of four. During the succeeding years I have had many proofs of God's care and many opportunities to increase my understanding of God and to learn more about Him and His creation.
I am especially grateful for the ease with which I have always found employment, including temporary summer jobs, as a result of knowing that man, a spiritual idea, is actually continuously engaged in expressing his creator, the divine Mind. Several years ago my fellow employees were on strike, and I could not carry on my usual secretarial duties; but I obtained a temporary job which lasted four weeks, the exact duration of the strike.
The sale of an apartment in a cooperatively owned building, for which there seemed to be no market, was also effected, though the sale took nine months from the date of the signing of the purchase agreement to the signing of the final papers. Every obstacle that arose in the process of the sale was prayerfully handled and overcome through relying solely on God's directions.
