"He shall feed his flock"
"God is the great Shepherd of all"
In Handel's oratorio "The Messiah," Isaiah's beautiful words (40:11), "He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young," had a new and special significance for the writer as she prepared to sing this solo at a service in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. Yes, she thought, the Christ, Truth, which is revealed in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, feeds the flock and gently leads "those that are with young."
