"When Jesus saw their faith"

"The Christ is here ... healing all that is wrong in human experience"

In the Gospel of Mark is the account of a man "sick of the palsy" (2:3). This man was carried on his bed, or mat, by four men, and when they could not get near Jesus because of the crowd, they took the man to the roof. We read that "they uncovered the roof ... and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee." The account goes on to tell of the healing of the palsied man.
