During the past sixteen years we have witnessed with increasing gratitude to God the unfoldment of His plan for our family. After the Second World War, a home and livelihood had to be found; and although we were students of Christian Science, we had never before put it so completely to the test. This we were able to do by attaining a proper conception of Science with the help of a practitioner.

We learned that every new venture must start with God; so we realized the importance of listening for His guidance and direction as we started to build up a new life. A house was found and the wherewithal to purchase it, and this we turned into a country restaurant, together with a lovely home for the family.

Step by step we learned to take each problem to the Father. "For precept must be upon precept ... here a little, and there a little" (Isa. 28:10).
