During many years an abundance of good has come to my family and me through the continual application of Christian Science in all our affairs. A healthy business, which is blessing employees as well as customers, has been established; my husband, who is an earnest student of Christian Science, and I have enjoyed a happy home; and best of all I have had the opportunity to help others through Science.

I should like to tell of an incident which proved the immediacy of healing in Christian Science. Early one Saturday morning I fell and turned my ankle completely under. The pain was severe, and I could barely make any audible declarations of Truth. My husband helped me back to bed, and we both began praying. The first suggestion that came to me was that I would not be able to be at my post as Second Reader in church the next day. This I denied vigorously.

I called my daughter and asked her to do specific prayerful work for me to overcome the fear and weakness. It was necessary to call her two more times during the day for continued help, because, as late as four o'clock in the afternoon, it was not possible for me to stand on my feet. In fact, I thought it wise to ask the substitute Reader to be ready to read the next day.
