Making the Rounds
"In making our daily rounds, let us posit our thinking
on the basis of unselfish love"
In earlier centuries the watchmen in a town made their rounds with lantern and stick, calling out at regular intervals, "All's well." Today policemen make their rounds by walking their beats, as do night watchmen who guard buildings.
