With a heart full of love and gratitude for Christian Science, I submit this testimony. This great Comforter was presented to me by a dear friend when I was weary of materia medica and the faith I had been brought up in. Mrs. Eddy tells us that "willingness to become as a little child and to leave the old for the new, renders thought receptive of the advanced idea" (Science and Health, pp. 323, 324). I was ready "to leave the old for the new" and never looked back.

The first healing I experienced was that of grief. My mother, who was very close to me, had just passed on. This was something I had always dreaded; so when through the prayers of a Christian Science practitioner I was lifted above a sense of grief and separation and was able to attend to necessary business, I was very grateful.

At that time I was suffering from hay fever, constant colds, chronic constipation, and sinus trouble. These ailments had been with me for ten years or more; but within a year from my taking up the study of Science, they just vanished and have never returned.
