The Creatures of God Are Harmless

There is no animality in God, divine Love, or in His infinite creation. If animality or inharmony of any kind enters our consciousness, the law of Love as revealed in Christian Science is present to cast it out. Until we destroy discord by Science we are unwittingly allowing ourselves to be associated with that which is contrary to God. In the measure that we allow ourselves to be associated with discord, we render ourselves subject to its abuses.

John, the beloved disciple of Christ Jesus, said (I John 4:18), "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear." Love is God, and even as God is perfect so is His universal creation perfect. Any inharmony, including fear of animals, can be eliminated from thought and experience to the degree of one's understanding and expression of infinite Love.

All reflections of Love are inherently and eternally loving. Divine Love gives all ideas their only true character. An individual who is loving in the true sense has no room for fear, hatred, animality, or any other loveless thought. Through the spiritual understanding of man's true identity as the idea of divine Love and through acknowledging Love as in exclusive control in God's infinite creation, one is protected from disturbing or dangerous encounters with animals as well as with individuals.
