The Things "not seen"
The Apostle Paul said, "We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal" (II Cor. 4:18). Christian Science implements this Biblical teaching; it shows spiritually minded people how to become increasingly conscious of the unseen God and His invisible creation of ideas.
Materially minded individuals, preoccupied with temporal interests and physical personalities, are blind to the eternal substance of things "not seen" and often even scorn the belief in their existence.
But what are some of the eternal things "not seen" although undeniably present? Life, individual consciousness, intelligence, integrity, purity, justice, love—to name a few. One could go on and on considering the invisible good to which he is measurably awake, and he would begin to realize that he is more aware of the unseen kingdom of heaven than he had believed. He is more conscious of the real, spiritual man, through whom God manifests Himself, than he had perhaps imagined.
