God's Perfect Child
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Every morning Roger got up very early and played with his trucks and trains. After breakfast he always listened to his mother and father read from the Bible and from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Often Roger repeated some of his favorite Bible verses, and the family talked about the way God helps us to help ourselves and others. Then Roger went off to school.
During the day whenever he thought about what he had learned of God at home and at the Christian Science Sunday School, it made his work better and his play happier. One of his favorite thoughts was this one: "I'm God's perfect child."
He knew that Christ Jesus said (Matt. 5:48), "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." He knew that because God is perfect, He can have only a perfect child. A perfect child is spiritual, pure, and complete. He cannot be harmed by false beliefs, called error.
