I was first introduced to the...
I was first introduced to the blessed religion of Christian Science by a neighbor. I had been under the care of a doctor for some time because of a severe nervous breakdown, caused by illnesses, worries, and tragedies connected with my family and relatives. It was to help these loved ones that I got in touch with a Christian Science practitioner. This was the turning point in my life, and it resulted in my own healing and in healings for them.
My mother had been confined to bed for six years by arthritis and heart trouble. The doctor said she would never walk again. Through my study of the Bible Lessons, provided for us in the Quarterly, and my efforts to recognize her true selfhood as a spiritual idea of God, my mother was able to walk again and lived an active life for ten more years.
My sister was healed of a painful sacroiliac condition and of hemorrhoids and constipation of many years' standing.
