I wish to express my deep gratitude to God for a healing of deafness which I received through Christian Science. I had been so deaf for about six years that at church I could not hear the voices of the Readers.

I had the help of a Christian Science practitioner at times, especially when I felt discouraged. However, at one time I became so discouraged that instead of calling the practitioner I went to a doctor's office. Although I had had healings in Science before, I felt this was a difficult problem, since the belief of mortal heredity had to be overcome.

I gave my name to the attendant and sat down to wait my turn. While I was waiting, these words came to my thought as clearly as if they had been spoken: "What are you doing here? Your help isn't here." I got up and walked out of the office. On the way home I felt greatly uplifted and knew it was the result of obeying the voice of Truth. After this I prayed all the more earnestly in Christian Science.
