For over twenty years I have enjoyed the privilege of being a Christian Scientist, and during this time all my needs have been met. Because the periodicals have been a constant source of inspiration and healing to me, I want to express gratitude for them and through them.

My eyes were opened to the healing efficacy of Science when I saw a relative healed of asthma through study and application of it. Later, my elder son, then six years old, became ill with a throat infection. He was attended by two doctors and then a pediatrician, but he did not improve; in fact, he became worse. At this point I called upon a Christian Science practitioner.

The boy was so quickly healed by her prayers that I knew that this religion, which teaches that "with God all things are possible" (Matt. 19:26), was the religion I wanted for myself and for my family. It was not difficult, therefore, to discard all material remedies, and since then Mind, God, has been my only physician.
