"Open thou mine eyes, that I...
"Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law" (Ps. 119:18). This text fills me with gratitude, for God opened my eyes to the healing and comforting power of divine Love when I was burdened with family responsibility, ill-health, and utter mental depression. Financial problems and inharmonious family relations hampered my life. These worries developed into a serious nervous condition and other complications. My social life and my work were sorely affected.
After numerous consultations, the physician prescribed no further medication but suggested I let go of whatever bothered me. So I resigned from a good secretarial position in my home town and left for the nearest large city.
Although I had an interview arranged with an employer there, as well as with one in another city, I felt lost. I did not know where to turn or what was the best thing for me to do. The first interview was unfruitful, because I felt I was neither physically nor mentally able to go to work as quickly as the employer desired.
