Go Forward

"If we desire freedom to go forward .... we must have that faith in good which disdains fear "

A study of the Bible enriches us with accounts of the rewards of those who went forward with faith. In Exodus we read that the Israelites found themselves blocked by the Red Sea and pursued by Pharaoh and his host. "And the Lord said unto Moses, ... speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward" (14: 15). When Moses stretched out his hand, the Red Sea parted, and they went forward. In the story of David and Goliath in I Samuel we are told that David "ran toward the army to meet the Philistine" (17: 48). We are also told that David triumphed over Goliath. Jesus went forward to meet the crucifixion fearlessly as an opportunity to demonstrate eternal Life and came forth triumphantly from the tomb.
