I have been a student of Christian Science...
I have been a student of Christian Science for many years. My first contact with it was through a couple who were neighbors and who were both practitioners. During my first reading of Mrs. Eddy's Science and Health, obtained from a public library, I was healed of the need of wearing glasses, which I had worn since I was a child. I rejoice in the Bible Lessons, set forth in the Quarterly, which give daily inspiration. They are our spiritual food.
I am grateful to God for healings of a nervous breakdown, coughs, colds, skin irritations, dizziness and instability, and an impacted tooth.
At one time I lost the use of my legs, and it was necessary for me to spend some six to eight weeks at a Christian Science nursing home, where I was skillfully cared for by the nurses while a practitioner was doing prayerful metaphysical work for me. At the end of that time I returned home healed. My financial needs were met during this period, and my employment was held for me.
