It is my joy and privilege to have been a student of Christian Science for over thirty years, and my family and I have received much healing through my study of it. So-called children's diseases have yielded in a matter of hours, harmony has been demonstrated in the home when the truth of man's being as the expression of God has been acknowledged, and supply has become available when true substance has been understood as spiritual.

One healing which stands out as a beacon, encouraging and helping me, occurred a number of years ago. I awoke during the night with great pain in my right side and hip. I have always risen early in the morning to study the Bible Lesson from the Christian Science Quarterly; so when my husband awakened at his normal time and realized that I was still in bed, he sensed that something was wrong.

He is not a student of Christian Science and said at once that he would get a doctor. However, I asked him if he would go instead and ask for the help of a Christian Science practitioner. This he very kindly did, but said that if I did not respond quickly to the treatment, he would insist on medical aid for me.
