Ashtabula, Ohio (First Church).

Christian Scientists of this city will formally dedicate on Sunday the building of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Ashtabula, Ohio, located at 1030 Bunker Hill Road. Two services will be held—the first at 11 a.m. and the second at 5 p.m.

Construction of the church building was begun in May, 1949. . . . The cornerstone was laid July 26, and opening services were held on January 8, 1950. First Church of Christ, Scientist, Ashtabula, was recognized by The Mother Church on July 9, 1907. Its first church building was located on Elm Avenue. In 1922 the church moved to a new building on Division Street, which was used until 1950.—Ashtabula star-Beacon (May 22, 1960).
