"Identity," according to one dictionary definition, signifies unity and persistence of individuality. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, gives its Christianly scientific significance in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" in these words (p. 477): "Identity is the reflection of Spirit, the reflection in multifarious forms of the living Principle, Love."
