At a time when I had extra work...
At a time when I had extra work to do in the home, I became very tired and irritable; so a friend of ours urged my husband and me to turn to a Christian Science practitioner for help. I told the practitioner of my troubles and also mentioned at the same time my difficult relationship with my parents-in-law. I would not accept their help in any way and was even annoyed by their visits to our home.
As we live next door to each other, this was a very difficult problem for me mentally. It distressed me, but I was unable to change my attitude. I prayed to God for humility; but I was incapable of leaving everything in His hands, because bitterness always filled my thought.
After I had been to see the practitioner and had studied the references given me from the Bible and from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I suddenly noticed one day about a fortnight later when visiting my parents-in-law that all bitterness and jealousy had been erased from my thought.
