I am very grateful that my mother was led to take up the study of Christian Science when my sister and I were young. This enabled us to have many years in the Christian Science Sunday School. But I do not believe that I appreciated the wonderful protection we enjoyed as children and young adults until years later when I was married and had a family of my own. My husband and I are truly grateful for all the good that our children are learning in the Sunday School.

We had a proof of God's wonderful protection when our son, then three years old, opened the back door of the car while I was driving. The wind suction pulled him out, and he fell to the road. This happened on quite a busy asphalt street on a Sunday afternoon, but at that moment there were no cars going in either direction. I stopped the car, ran back, and picked him up.

When I arrived home, I placed him in my husband's arms and telephoned for the help of a Christian Science practitioner. The boy's suffering was relieved immediately. He slept fairly well all night. When I called the practitioner in the morning, I told her that he could not retain food. This difficulty and his injuries were quickly overcome through her prayerful work.
