I once came upon a quotation...

I once came upon a quotation from the eighteenth century English poet, Edward Young, which reads. "Too low they build, who build beneath the stars." It reminded me of one of Mary Baker Eddy's statements in "Miscellaneous Writings'" (p. 320), "The star of Bethlehem is the light of all ages; is the light of Love, to-day christening religion undefiled, divine Science. "The darkness of human beliefs is certainly being dispelled by the divine Science found in Mrs. Eddy's inspired writings. I find on their every page scintillating stars in the heaven of Science and am thus gaining in some measure the spiritual vision which Mrs. Eddy implies will eventually be ours.

For forty-three years I have relied entirely on Christian Science for release from discords of all kinds.

My mother passed on when I was four, and until I first read our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, in my late teens, I missed very much her guiding hand. But when I studied the chapter on Prayer and perceived that God is man's Mother as well as his Father, a sense of comfort and joy came to me which I find hard to explain.
