Cilicia. .. Asia (Acts 6:9)
(si-lish'i-a—first i as in charity, second and third as in is, a as in sofa; or, si-lish'a—first i as in charity, second as in is, a as in sofa; a'zha—first a as in ace, second as in sofa, zh—z as in azure; or, a'sha—first a as in ace, second as in sofa). Cilicia was a Roman province in the southeast corner of Asia Minor, bounded on the north by the Taurus Mountains. Asia is not here used in the continental sense, but refers to a Roman province in the western part of Asia Minor.
