Christian Science has brought many blessings to my life, and I am deeply grateful. I first learned of it when I was a young woman in my late teens. Because of an extremely heavy schedule, resulting from the necessity of earning my room and board while attending school, I found myself approaching a mental and physical collapse, I was in such a nervous condition that I ate and slept very little.

My sister had a friend who was a Christian Scientist, and she asked us to go with her to the Christian Science church services. I also listened to radio broadcasts of the services. I knew almost immediately that this Science was what I had been searching for, and although I did not study it with the thought of healing, I soon found that I was eating and sleeping normally again.

During the intervening years I have had many other healings for which I am very grateful. The fear that I would contract a disease which seemed to be hereditary in my family tormented me for many years. One evening I called on the telephone a Christian Science practitioner who was helping me at that time and spoke of my extreme fear. I shall never forget the love that was expressed to me at that moment. It stood out like a beacon. From that moment on, the fear began to lessen until it finally disappeared. I saw more and more clearly that God is Love and that He is not the author of disease.
