The freedom from fear which Christian Science brings to all who rely on its teachings has brought many blessings to my family and to me.

One evening soon after our younger child had been put to bed, she suddenly cried out as if in great discomfort. I discovered that she had put into her ear a ring she had been wearing. I tried to retrieve it with tweezers, but when I touched the child's ear, the object moved further inside and almost out of sight.

I took the child on my lap and quietly talked to her of God's love for His children, realizing that this was an opportunity for us to prove the truths she had learned in the Christian Science Sunday School. She had learned that God is everywhere all the time, and we reasoned that no situation can arise which can cause His children suffering or unhappiness. We also gave thanks for Christian Science, which teaches us to turn to God for healing and protection.
