The Board of Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society, with the concurrence of The Christian Science Board of Directors, has elected Edward Froderman, C. S., of Cambridge, Massachusetts, as a member of the Board of Trustees, effective January 1, 1961, to fill the vacancy caused by the retirement of Henry Allen Nichols.

Mr. Froderman is resigning from the post he has occupied since 1956, Manager of the Department of Branches and Practitioners of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Froderman's interest in Christian Science began in the Sunday School. He joined First Church of Christ, Scientist, Chicago, Illinois, in 1917 and The Mother Church in 1919. Prior to his moving to Boston from Chicago, he was Christian Science Committee on Publication for the state of Illinois for over six years. Mr. Froderman entered the public practice of Christian Science in 1949, previous to which time he was vice-president of the Drexel National Bank in Chicago.

Mr. Nichols has retired from the Board of Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society, effective December 31, 1960, in order to devote his entire time to the practice of Christian Science. Mr. Nichols formerly was a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship and has been a public practitioner of Christian Science for many years.
