RADIO PROGRAM No. 427 - The Season for Gratitude

SPEAKER: Gratitude! What a wonderful word this is! It brings to thought the good things of life—our homes, our families, the warmth of true friendship, security. But when gratitude to God becomes the main theme of our daily experience, we find the greatest gift of all: spiritual riches that are pure, invigorating, enduring. So the season for true gratitude is always.

The Bible is full of assurances of God's goodness and love. For instance, the Psalmist said of God: "Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing"; and again, "No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."

Thanksgiving that is based on the understanding of God's infinite goodness and love is an essential quality of effective prayer. It opens prison doors and sets us free from fear, limitation, and sickness.
