WORDS OF CURRENT INTEREST
[The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly designated to be read in Christian Science churches on October 22, 1961.]
Of God (II Cor. 5:1)
The Greek preposition rendered "of" would be more clearly represented in modern English by "from." Weymouth translates the verse as follows: "For we know that if the mere tent, which is our earthly house, is taken down, we have in heaven a building from God, a house not made by human hands, but eternal."
Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed (II Cor. 6:3)
