Two New Editions of The Herald of Christian Science

With the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors, the Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society announce two new quarterly editions of The Herald of Christian Science—one in Japanese and the other in Bahasa Indonesia. The first issues will appear in January, 1962.

These new editions will be printed in the same size as the other quarterly editions of the Herald, with bright, attractively colored covers. They will contain articles on Christian Science, editorials, and testimonies of healing.

The Japanese and Indonesian editions of the Herald will reach many added readers, bringing the healing message of Christian Science in their own familiar languages to vital Asian areas.

Christian Scientists throughout the Field will welcome these new editions in support of the role of the Herald in proclaiming the universality of Truth.

Reading Rooms should have ample copies on hand to meet the demands for the new editions.

The price for the Japanese and Indonesian editions of the Herald is 15c per copy or 50c a year. For subscribers in Asia, the Japanese price is ¥20 per copy or ¥70 per year. The Indonesian price is Rp 3 per copy or Rp 10 per year.

You are cordially invited to subscribe now at your nearest Reading Room or write to The Christian Science Publishing Society, One Norway Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.

The Impervious Armor and Membership in The Mother Church

Is not the whole world today looking in every direction for an impervious armor?

Listen to these startling words from Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science: "Good thoughts are an impervious armor; clad therewith you are completely shielded from the attacks of error of every sort. And not only yourselves are safe, but all whom your thoughts rest upon are thereby benefited" (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 210).

The membership of The Mother Church consists of those consecrated students who are united in their efforts to be clad and to help others to be clad in this impervious armor.

One earnestly considering membership should carefully ponder the requirements set forth in the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy and fill out the application and the accompanying questionnaire according to directions.

Application blanks and information concerning membership in The Mother Church may be obtained at Christian Science Reading Rooms, from clerks of branch churches or societies, from practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal or in The Herald of Christian Science, or from Gordon V. Comer, Clerk, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.

Plans for New Television Series

After more than six years of successful telecasts of the "How Christian Science Heals" series, a new format for presenting Christian Science on television is now being developed.

Broadcasts of the present series will be concluded in 1962. These programs, designed to correct public misconceptions of Christian Science, have made Christian Science much more widely and favorably known. They have laid a solid foundation for a new series which will carry forward this work, bringing out additional aspects of the subject.

The radio series, "How Christian Science Heals," will continue.
