The Judgment of the Son

Jesus of Nazareth defined by precept and practice the various aspects and offices of the Christ, which he perfectly represented. Among other things, he taught the sinless nature of the Christ as God's Son, the power of the Christ as Love's representative, the immortality of the Christ as Life's evidence. And the Master exemplified the office of the Christ which judges between right and wrong in human thought. He said (John 5:22, 23), "The Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: that all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father."

Christian Science reveals God to be supersensible Mind, dwelling in the light of His own absolute good, knowing His own creation of ideas, unfailingly enforcing His own laws. It logically follows that evil is unknown to Mind, is outside reality, and hence has no actual entity or existence. This Science also reveals Christ as Truth, which reaches human thought through the penetrating power of spiritual good. Thus, like rays of light dispelling darkness, Christ, Truth, announces its presence to receptive hearts, wakens the intuitive knowledge of spiritual values, and judges the human mind by wiping out all that is evil in it.

Mary Baker Eddy perceived this concept of judgment, and she says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 291), "No final judgment awaits mortals, for the judgment-day of wisdom comes hourly and continually, even the judgment by which mortal man is divested of all material error."
