Many years ago, when I was quite a young boy, my mother was healed with the help of a Christian Science practitioner. She had been in ill-health for about fifteen years and unable to do any work. She had tried all the available medical remedies and had had the help of some of the outstanding doctors of the day, but they could not heal her.

She had joined an orthodox church and so appealed to her pastor for help. He told her that the illness was something she would have to bear. Then my mother went to a practitioner. When she came home she discarded all the medicines she had, and in a short time she was healed and enjoying life.

I have been relying upon Christian Science since that time, and it has never failed me. In 1918, during an epidemic, I was healed of an attack of influenza with the help of my mother. After three days I went back to work. I have had other healings also. Once there was a growth in my nose, which was completely closed. I had the help of a practitioner. However, the healing did not come until I really got down to studying the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health. Then the growth disappeared.
