The Great Adventure

[Of Special Interest to Young People]

This is an age of great adventure. Human hearts are always longing to seek and find new and wider horizons. Some have sought adventure in climbing the highest mountain peak, and others have sought it in exploring unknown polar or tropical regions. In this age, adventure leads into outer space, and men are hoping to look out from other planets. Yet there is a far greater adventure than these. It is to find and to explore the vast resources of the kingdom of God.

The great Master, Christ Jesus, said (Luke 17:21), "The kingdom of God is within you." The greatest adventure of all, then, is to find and enjoy the blessings of the kingdom of God within our own consciousness.

The way to this kingdom has been revealed through Christian Science, which was given to this age by Mary Baker Eddy. The way is to be found in the eager study and practice of the teachings of the Scriptures and of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, just as one would study a map when starting upon a journey and then joyously follow this map as he goes along his way.
