Christian Science has been a redemptive and healing force in my life for many years. My first healing while in my late teens was that of a severe case of influenza. I was healed in two days, and to my amazement there was no period of convalescence.

For some years after this, Christian Science seemed only a beautiful philosophy; and though at times of sickness help was asked for, I did not seek the study of the rules of this Science, nor did I wish the discipline of its teachings.

Later, while rearing three children, I took my stand for the truth, and through the help of faithful practitioners, so-called childhood diseases, as well as more serious difficulties, quickly yielded. One of these was that of yellow jaundice.
