I came to know Christian Science...
I came to know Christian Science and the wonderful works of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, about eight years ago in England. This enabled me to leave hospital and the care of the doctors for good and to return to my home in Ceylon. I am indeed most grateful for this and for healings of sinus trouble, catarrh, a circulatory difficulty, and influenza. I am also grateful to have been a member of The Mother Church since 1955.
In March, 1958, I was taken ill with typhoid fever. I decided to rely wholly upon Christian Science treatment and cabled to a practitioner in England for help. I felt confident that distance was no bar to a healing in Science, for our Leader gives this promise in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 179): "Science can heal the sick, who are absent from their healers, as well as those present, since space is no obstacle to Mind."
