RADIO PROGRAM No. 347 - Breaking the Bonds of Limitation

Speaker: Our program today is an encouraging one. It will show how limitations, both physical and mental, can be overcome through the prayer of spiritual understanding. Richard Aronson, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, found freedom from such limitations when he gained a clearer understanding of man's true relationship to God. We've asked him to tell you his experience. Would you start, Mr. Aronson, by telling us when this took place?

Mr. Aronson: It goes back to my high school days. I took the college entrance exams, and the guidance counselor said that I wouldn't have a chance in college, that I just wouldn't make it, even though I wanted very much to go. As a result I wasn't properly guided to take the courses that were prerequisites for college.

And at that time I had a constant fear of being called on to recite or do anything where I'd be on my own in front of a group of people. I guess it probably tied in with the thought of having limited intelligence. However, I'd always gone to the Christian Science Sunday School, and it finally began to sink in that there really is only one Mind, and this Mind is God. And that in reality man is the likeness of this Mind and therefore reflects intelligence; so intelligence is not dependent on a human mind, and it can't be limited in any way.
