GAINING THE UNDERSTANDING THAT HEALS

The outstanding discovery of our times is the revelation of Christian Science to Mrs. Eddy. In this religion the true relationship of God and man as Principle and idea is disclosed. Christian Science teaches that man is not material or physical but spiritual and immortal, the reflection of the one, omnipresent God. The understanding of this truth enables men to heal, without the use of psychology and medicine, not only themselves but others of the beliefs of sin, disease, and discord.

Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 296), "An improved belief is one step out of error, and aids in taking the next step and in understanding the situation in Christian Science." Moving a step away from mortal error, we enter the realm of faith. The farther we get away from suppositional evil, the closer we draw to God, good, and our ability to heal is in direct proportion to our knowledge of the divine.

Christ Jesus said to his disciples (Matt. 17:20), "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."
