Just recently while going through some old literature, I found a Sentinel dated December 21, 1940. In this issue was a testimony which I had written.

As my thoughts went back over the past nineteen years, my heart overflowed with gratitude for Christian Science, not only for Mrs. Eddy, for The Mother Church, and for the Christian Science Benevolent Associations, but for many healings and for many instances of God's protecting care, for continuous church activity, for class instruction and the annual association meeting, and for the joyful realization that perfect health is a quality of God, which I have had the privilege of experiencing these many years.

I am deeply and humbly grateful to have gained through the study and application of Christian Science the understanding that Life is eternal and that immortality is man's real heritage. I had to prove this understanding of Life during the past five years when three loved ones passed on and especially when my husband, whose companionship I had enjoyed for forty-five years, passed on.
