I was irresistibly attracted to Christian Science in my teens and had the privilege of being taught in the Christian Science Sunday School; here my feet were firmly planted in the way of Truth. Since that time, nearly twenty-six years ago, I have been abundantly blessed through the application of Christian Science to all phases of my experience.

Early healings included those of boils, chilblains, fingernail biting, severe nosebleed, and quick temper. Later came a healing of goiter after two or three treatments by a Christian Science practitioner. The fear of this condition persisted for a while until I realized man's complete freedom as a spiritual idea of God. I have also been healed of defective eyesight. Our children have been healed of measles, whooping cough, mumps, and deep cuts.

After speaking of the use of surgery, Mary Baker Eddy then adds in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 402), "However, it is but just to say that the author has already in her possession well-authenticated records of the cure, by herself and her students through mental surgery alone, of broken bones, dislocated joints, and spinal vertebrae." These words came to me when, almost four years ago, our son fell and broke his arm near the elbow.
