"The 'still, small voice' of scientific...

"The 'still, small voice' of scientific thought reaches over continent and ocean to the globe's remotest bound. The inaudible voice of Truth is, to the human mind, 'as when a lion roareth.' It is heard in the desert and in dark places of fear. It arouses the 'seven thunders' of evil, and stirs their latent forces to utter the full diapason of secret tones. Then is the power of Truth demonstrated,—made manifest in the destruction of error." Thus Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes in Science and Health (p. 559) of the prophecy in the tenth chapter of Revelation.

I wish to testify to an awakening, with its resultant healing, which occurred in my home and which illustrates that this prophecy is being fulfilled today. One night one of my sons called to me from his room. I found him in bed with alarming symptoms, coupled with pain. He told me that he had tried for three hours to heal the condition through his own work in Christian Science but that the symptoms were getting worse.

My first impulse was to be afraid, and I asked, "Do you want me to call a practitioner?"
