GOD IS PRESENT WITH US

JUST what is God's presence and what evidence do we have of God being with us? Many of the prophets and patriarchs of the Old Testament acknowledged the deific presence and found supply, guidance, or protection as an indication of His tender love for them. No doubt one of the greatest of these men of God was Moses. And yet at first he distrusted his ability to undertake God's assignment of delivering the children of Israel from bondage to Pharaoh in Egypt. But his hesitancy did not militate against his mission, for when he gained an assurance of God's presence he went forward.

Over and over again God declared or showed to Moses His great might. He assured him on one occasion (Ex. 33:14), "My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest." And it was so. God was an unfailing help to Moses and to all those who obediently followed the God-designated path.

The guidance which Moses enjoyed is available to all today. It is demonstrated by those who learn to practice God's laws of good as presented in Christian Science. To gain the blessings of God's presence in everyday activities we must know Him and constantly commune with Him.
