For many years now, I have been greatly blessed by the teachings of Christian Science, and I have experienced many healings.

About twenty years ago I was sent to a Veterans Hospital for the treatment of tuberculosis. The doctor told my wife that I could live but a few months, a year at the most. At the sanatorium they placed me with a small group of patients who were in a critical condition.

I had been urged by a friend to accept Christian Science treatment, but I had rejected it. Then I met a patient who was studying this Science, and I too started to read the textbook, Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy. In the chapter on Fruitage, I read the testimonies of people who had been healed by just reading the textbook, and I thought that I too might be healed in this way.
