Christian Science has been a...
Christian Science has been a blessing to me for so many years that I feel it right to express my gratitude for it and also for the friend who first presented it to my husband and me. I was recovering from a severe attack of influenza at the time and was so tired of being ill that I accepted Christian Science without question.
I was lent a copy of the textbook, Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy. "The scientific statement of being," found on page 468, was drawn to my attention. This was a wonderful inspiration and help to me. I began to recover my health very quickly and was soon able to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting.
Prior to coming into Christian Science, I was overwhelmed by a sense of responsibility in the rearing of our two small children. However, this false sense soon faded, and when, during the war years, they had to leave home, I was able to let them go freely, knowing that they were never separated from their Father-Mother God.
