I am profoundly grateful for the many blessings received by me and mine through the study and application of Christian Science. When applied in strict accordance with the teachings of our inspired Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, Christian Science has never failed to bring health, joy, and peace into my daily life. There have also been many physical healings in my experience.

These include recurring headaches, influenza, cuts, burns, colds, stomach disorder, and many others, the medical names of which I do not know. When my own understanding has been inadequate to meet a condition, I have found that our consecrated practitioners are daily proving that "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 5:16).

One outstanding healing took place while I was serving as Second Reader in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. What to mortal sense seemed to be a severe case of piles manifested itself and became particularly aggravated one Saturday afternoon. It was obvious that something must be done if I was going to fill my place as Second Reader the following morning in comfort. I began to pray, as we are taught in Christian Science. I prayed not for a physical healing but for a better understanding of God and also prayed to know that nothing could keep me from being about my Father's business.
