One of the things I have been...

One of the things I have been very grateful for in Christian Science is the increasing awareness of the infinite capacity of Mind, which is never depleted and never exhausted, because it knows nothing outside itself. An experience which I had some years ago made this even clearer to me when it was necessary for me to compete in athletics in the face of great exhaustion and discouragement.

I recognized that competition is but a belief of the divisibility of infinite good. Since this divisibility is impossible and since man is in reality the expression of God, all beauty and grace are fully expressed.

I turned to Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and read this passage (p. 216): "The understanding that the Ego is Mind, and that there is but one Mind or intelligence, begins at once to destroy the errors of mortal sense and to supply the truth of immortal sense. This understanding makes the body harmonious; it makes the nerves, bones, brain, etc., servants, instead of masters." Also the problem of fatigue is beautifully dealt with on pages 217 and 218, which I read.
