ON AWAKENING

Doris D. MacMaster

Father, I thank Thee for a peaceful night
And for the glory of the morning light.
Guard, guide, and govern me this day
In all I think and do and say.

Let my thinking be aligned
With the intelligence of Mind,
And from each subtle sin forsaken,
May I to harmony awaken.
