The understanding of God which...
The understanding of God which the study of Christian Science has brought into my life continues to be a blessed unfoldment. I have had proofs of God's loving care in demonstrating constant good health, employment, home, and happiness.
One experience showing the efficacy of Christian Science as applied to what appeared to be an alarming situation occurred a few years ago. My husband and I were preparing to open our summer resort. Our cabins are situated on the edge of a wood, and fire broke out some distance away. We tried to beat out the flames, but with no success. They spread so rapidly that very soon they had reached the top of the pine trees.
We knew that no human help could possibly save the cabins from destruction, because the wind was blowing the fire rapidly in their direction. And so we turned our backs on the fire and declared audibly that God is the only power.
