My introduction to Christian Science...
My introduction to Christian Science came after I had had an operation for a bowel obstruction. The doctors said it might or might not effect a permanent cure.
About a month following the operation the symptoms and suffering returned. I had been opposed to Christian Science, not understanding how its healings were accomplished, but now my only thought was to have help from a Christian Scientist. My husband took me to a Christian Science practitioner who had helped him in a time of great need. The practitioner told me of God's love and care for His children and said that if I prayed earnestly and trustingly, the healing would come.
Within a few hours the fear was overcome. Then the pain subsided, and the complete healing came. Since this healing, unlovely traits of character have been discarded and replaced with love for God and for my fellow men.
