My first healing in Christian Science...

My first healing in Christian Science came after I was told by physicians that the only way to remove an internal tumor was by my having a major operation. Later, a required examination took place, showing a complete removal by mental surgery. The Christian Science practitioner to whom I wrote for help lived at quite a distance; so the healing took place without my even seeing the practitioner.

My next healing was that of chronic tonsillitis in a severe form. Through the regeneration of my thinking, I have had other healings, and all have been permanent. Members of my family have been healed of a collapsed lung, of a severe case of blood poisoning, and of typhoid fever.

In the case of one slow healing, that of colds and sinus trouble, it was comforting to read of Jesus' healing of the impotent man at the pool of Bethesda, as related in the fifth chapter of John. Jesus proved sin and disease to be untrue, having no more reality or power after being believed for thirty-eight years than they would have had if they had been believed for one hour. Jesus proved that God's creation is ever perfect and eternal.
