Los Angeles, California (Seventeenth Church).
Dedicatory services for Seventeenth Church of Christ, Scientist, Los Angeles, will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
This church was organized in May, 1924, by a small group of members from Fifth, Ninth, and Thirteenth Churches of Christ, Scientist, Los Angeles. Soon thereafter, it was incorporated under the laws of the state of California and was recognized by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, as Seventeenth Church of Christ, Scientist, Los Angeles.
The present site of the church, 1401 North Crescent Heights Boulevard, was purchased in March, 1945, and the first service in the new edifice was held on June 26, 1949. Later a Sunday School wing was added, thus completing the building program.
