As I have been especially helped and comforted by the testimonies appearing in the periodicals over the years, I should like to share with others my gratitude for Christian Science.

I first heard of Christian Science twenty-one years ago through the healing of a friend. Soon thereafter I started to read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. This reading began at once to regenerate my life. I was greatly impressed as I read, for each page brought out that God is a God who loves His children rather than a God who takes note of all their misdeeds and punishes them accordingly.

The first week after I started reading the textbook, I stopped smoking cigarettes, started soon to attend regularly services in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and tried to apply the teachings of Christian Science in every activity of my life.
